Bulgaria with a Disability Card
Separate offers available to foreign visitors from concessions requiring Bulgarian documentation, and confirm the current policy before travel.

Borovets and Balchik
Borovets publishes a 50% discount on lift passes except season passes for visitors with a disability of at least 50%. The visitor and one companion also receive 50% off return tickets on Yastrebets Express or Sitnyakovo Express.
Foreign visitors must present identification and official disability proof from their home country in English, German, French or Russian; an official translation is required for other languages.
The Balchik Palace and Botanical Garden list free admission for people with a permanent disability greater than 50%, with valid proof.
Offers needing foreign-document confirmation
Bansko lists a return gondola fare of €0.60 / 1.17 BGN for a person with a disability, and the same fare for a companion when assistance is documented. The source guide compares this with a regular summer 2026 adult fare of €27. Confirm acceptance of your document.
Pamporovo’s published conditions refer to Bulgarian TELK documentation. Ask the operator before buying with a foreign document.
Museums and general free periods
Museum rules vary by venue, exhibition and date. Some Plovdiv offers are tied to the first Thursday of the month; planetarium admission is not automatically included. General free days apply to everyone and should not be described as disability-card concessions.
Parking and accessibility
Check the EU parking-card guidance and municipal signs. A recognised parking card does not automatically mean free parking.
Confirm step-free access, lifts, toilets and the chosen route separately. Financial concessions do not establish physical accessibility.
Before you travel
Check the latest price list, accepted document, translation requirements, companion fare and exclusions for your exact ticket. Do not assume a domestic Bulgarian entitlement applies to a visiting foreign card holder.
