How to Verify a Disability Benefit Before You Travel

1. Check the date
Look at the last-checked date and verification status. If a listing is due for review or asks you to check current information, confirm it before visiting.
2. Open the official source
Check whether the published price applies to a regular visit or only to a particular event, time slot or organiser. Read the current price list rather than relying only on a general description.
3. Ask specific questions
Ask whether your national or European disability card is accepted, the ticket price for the visitor, the companion price, whether entry and movement are possible with your wheelchair, and whether booking is required.
4. Report a change
If conditions at the venue differ from the listing, send the place name, visit date and what staff confirmed. Direct on-site confirmation is labelled separately from an official public source.
How to assess an answer
A useful confirmation states the exact benefit, price or discount, accepted document, companion rule and date to which the answer applies. “We have a discount” is not enough to plan the cost.
If a telephone answer affects a booking or a long journey, ask for email confirmation. Keep the link or message, then recheck before a later visit because policies and programmes can change.
