Romanian categories grav, accentuat, mediu and ușor are not automatically equivalent to a foreign disability percentage. Ask the venue how it interprets your official document.

Bran, Peleș and Pelișor

Bran Castle lists free admission for people with disabilities, compared with a regular adult ticket of 120 lei in the source guide. The historic building is not fully accessible; check floors and assistance before visiting.

Peleș and Pelișor list free admission for adults with severe or pronounced disabilities and one companion, with a 75% discount for adults with mild or moderate disabilities. Confirm how your document maps to those categories and check temporary closures.

Therme București

Therme lists a 40% disability discount, including weekends, holidays and school holidays, purchased at the ticket desk rather than online. Companion prices are listed separately. Confirm acceptance of your document and whether a translation is required.

Cable cars and railway assistance

Sinaia lists a 50% discount on individual cable-car fares; confirm accepted proof. Check the operating status of the exact gondola or cable-car section before travelling.

CFR provides assistance for people with disabilities and reduced mobility at specified stations and trains. Domestic free travel belongs to Romania’s social system and should not be assumed for a foreign tourist. International companion conditions depend on the route, ticket and carrier.

Road charges

Do not travel without the required rovinieta solely because you hold a disability card. The recorded exemption process is tied to domestic records; an automatic exemption for a foreign vehicle and document has not been clearly confirmed.
